A summer of touch rugby came with a big price tag for ACC

A summer of touch rugby came with a big price tag for ACC

Last year the accident compensation provider accepted just under 9700 injury claims.

ACC wants touch players to consider the risks this summer and ensure to warm up properly before getting stuck in.

Injury prevention leader James Whitaker says ankle and knee injuries are most common, particularly early in the season.

He says people may believe they can pull off a classic sidestep, but their bodies might be saying something different.
