NBA Commissioner Adam Silver concedes the Covid-19 rescheduling of the next season could mean top US men's players miss the rescheduled Tokyo Olympics

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver concedes the Covid-19 rescheduling of the next season could mean top US men's players miss the rescheduled Tokyo Olympics

Silver now believes the best result for the 2020/21 season is to start in January, after it was originally poised to tip-off in December 1st and then pushed back to later in December.

A January start could mean a June or July regular-season finish, with playoffs concluding in August or September, which would run through the late July to early August Tokyo Olympics dates.

Silver says they're going to have to find a way to meld and mesh those two considerations.
