Black Ferns sevens coach Cory Sweeney is keeping the door ajar for 15-a-side players to join his team ahead of next year's Paris Olympics

The New Zealand women's team are in Dubai for their first tournament of the World Series circuit starting tomorrow.

Sweeney says while his team is already established, he's keeping his eye on other options.

Veteran men's representative Sam Dickson will miss the Dubai and Cape Town legs after suffering a hamstring injury in training.

He'll be replaced by Brady Rush.
