    Some Australian inside knowledge is being credited with helping the Silver Ferns develop the more physical approach that's surprising the Diamonds


    Fulltime New South Wales Swifts coach Briony Akle has been with the Ferns at the Nations Cup and the past two series at home as a specialist attack coach.

    Former New Zealand mentor Yvonne Willering is certain Akle will also have been helping nail some spirited one-on-one marking.



    The Ferns face Australia in Perth on Sunday... 2-nil up in the Constellation Cup.
