Silver Ferns coach reveals how her team addressed controversy surrounding Maria Folau and husband Israel

Silver Ferns coach Noeline Taurua has lifted the lid on how her world championship winning team addressed the controversy surrounding shooter Maria Folau and her husband Israel

3 August 2019

Maria copped criticism by association with her husband and his radical Christian views and his crowdfunding to help his legal fight against Rugby Australia.

Taurua says they held a meeting during the pre-World Cup four-team series in Auckland, to make sure everyone was on the same page.

She says it was managed quite well and there was a lot of love afterwards.
