Kiwi Supercars driver Scott McLaughlin will take the next step towards a move to America in May

McLaughlin will drive for Team Penske at the Grand Prix of Indianapolis, the major precursor to the Indy 500.

He'll head stateside for the race in between the Auckland and Perth Supercars rounds, as he tries to win a third straight series title in that format.

McLaughlin is in the US currently, flying to North Carolina to Team Penske's base and will do pre-season testing next week at the Circuit of the Americas.
