Shane van Gisbergen's dogged determination not enough to take Supercars victory off Scott McLaughlin in Ipswich

Shane van Gisbergen's trademark dogged determination hasn't been enough to steal victory off Scott McLaughlin at the latest Supercars event in Ipswich

The Kiwi driver's tightly pursued his compatriot in the closing laps of race two, but has had to settle for second, with McLaughlin collecting a 14th win of the season.

Van Gisbergen's still mildly content with the result.

Van Gisbergen's third on the driver's standings, 520 points adrift of series leader McLaughlin.
