American skiing great Lindsey Vonn has marked her return to the World Cup circuit for the first time in nearly six years by finishing 14th fastest in the super-G at Saint Moritz, Switzerland

American skiing great Lindsey Vonn has marked her return to the World Cup circuit for the first time in nearly six years by finishing 14th fastest in the super-G at Saint Moritz, Switzerland

The three-times Olympic medallist and four-time World Cup champ had limped away from the sport in 2019 after a bruising 18-year career where she suffered several injuries.

Vonn's out of retirement at the age of 40 following successful knee surgery earlier this year...and was stoked with her first up effort, saying she just wanted to be solid...and expects to improve with every race.

Vonn says she feels stronger than she did in her late 20s, after having bone in her knee replaced with titanium - allowing her to straighten her right leg completely for the first time in years.
