    The OlyWhites midfielder has turned down a spot in the New Zealand squad for next month's internationals against Curacao and Bahrain, having been convinced by Football Australia to shift allegiance.

    Coach Danny Hay says while it's a kick in the guts, there wasn't much they could do.
