    Another day in football...another V-A-R controversy


    Former Newcastle United skipper Alan Shearer has blasted the decision which handed Paris Saint-German a Champions League get out of jail card against his old club as "disgusting".

    PSG drew 1-all after the 98th minute equalising penalty, leaving Newcastle two points adrift of second in the group with a match to play.

    Shearer voiced his frustration after the referee was asked to review his decision not to award a penalty when Ousmane Dembele's cross hit Tino Livramento in the ribs and then hit the underside of his arm.

    Shearer has unloaded in an expletive laden post on X saying that the performance "shouldn't be spoilt by a disgusting decision."
