The goalkeeper for one of the top teams in football's women's A-League has declared her allegiance to New Zealand

Adelaide shot-stopper Claudia Jenkins has pledged her availability to the Football Ferns after speaking to interim coach Michael Mayne.

Jenkins - who also qualifies for Australia - has started every game for third-placed Adelaide this season.

The Ferns next confirmed match is against Chinese Taipei in Taiwan on April 8.
