    Pep Guardiola has played down suggestions that Lionel Messi could join him at Manchester City


    The Spaniard has spent his career with Barcelona but has a clause allowing him to leave for free this summer.

    Guardiola coached Messi at the Nou Camp between 2008 and 2012, winning three La Liga titles and two Champions Leagues.

    But he says his wish is for Messi to stay at Barca.
