    A Rotorua man found in possession of more than 137-million-dollars worth of methamphetamine's been sentenced to over 13 years behind bars


    During searches last August, Police found Lionel James Ruka McDonald had 137.5 kilograms of the drug in packages in his vehicle and storage units.

    The 42-year-old was today sentenced in the Rotorua District Court on one charge of possessing methamphetamine for supply.

    He pleaded guilty last year to possessing at least 60 kilograms of the drug.

    McDonald was sentenced to 13 years and nine months in prison.
