Police are appealing to the public for help after two aggravated robberies across the country

Police are appealing to the public for help after two aggravated robberies across the country

Last night, a man armed with a knife entered a service station on Leach Street in New Plymouth at around 10.15.

He demanded cash and cigarettes before fleeing on foot down Leach Street and possibly onto Cameron Street.

On Thursday, a man entered a Gladstone Night 'n Day in Invercargill and threatened a shop assistant with a gun.

A person who intervened was stabbed by a second offender and is in hospital in a stable condition.

The robbers fled in a red two-door Honda Civic stolen from Pork Pie Lane earlier in the evening.
