A new high for kiwifruit exports

A new high for kiwifruit exports

Values are at their highest level ever - with exports worth 3.1 billion-dollars in the year to August.

It's an increase of just over half a billion from 2023, with gold kiwifruit rising by 24 percent.

Green kiwifruit were up 9.9 percent.

Kiwifruit Growers CEO Colin Bond says agreements like New Zealand's free-trade deal with the UK is a factor, as it puts money back into growers' pockets.

He says every little bit counts, during a time where cost of production on orchards is increasing.
