Victoria Beckham doesn't cook because it is bad for her stress levels

The 50-year-old fashion designer - who has Brooklyn, 24, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 19, and 13-year-old Harper with husband David Beckham - admitted her culinary skills aren't great so it is "better" for the whole family if she stays out of the kitchen

Discussing how she reduces stress, she told the Telegraph magazine: "By not taking on anything I genuinely don't think I can do. Oh and by not cooking...

"Harper says I can burn water, so it's probably better for everyone that I don't."

The former Spice Girls singer doesn't eat meat or wheat and explained she overhauled her diet after struggling with acne in her 20s.

She said: "It was because of my skin that I became very careful about what I ate."

Victoria has found getting older liberating because she no longer cares as much about what people think of her.

She said: "Yeah, probably I did look stern in a lot of pictures, but I was so uncomfortable.

"Was there a time when I used to scroll through all the comments about me? Probably. But now I just don't have the time."

The 'Stop' hitmaker and her spouse have always been open with their children and have encouraged their kids to always confide in them.

She said: "David and I have always tried to make them feel they can talk about anything and everything as a family, and let them know they can come to us with any problem. It's scary when children internalise."

And Victoria believes her children have inherited her optimistic nature.

She said: "We're glass-half-full people. All of us. The older I get, the more positive I feel. We were watching 'Inside Out' the other day, and the kids all said, 'You're Joy, Mum.' What a compliment."
