The driver of a concrete truck was fatally run over by his own vehicle - which crashed into a house in Auckland's Remuera

The driver of a concrete truck was fatally run over by his own vehicle - which crashed into a house in Auckland's Remuera

Emergency services were called to Rangitoto Avenue yesterday morning.

A worker at the site says the driver was trying to stop the truck rolling towards a house.

A neighbour says concrete was being poured at the house behind the one, the truck toppled into.

The property that was hit, was being renovated - and the owner wasn't home at the time.

WorkSafe inspectors have been gathering evidence from the scene.
