The power the Black Ferns may lose if Portia Woodman-Wickliffe hangs up her boots isn't lost on assistant coach Tony Christie

New Zealand's all-time leading try-scorer will start on the wing against France in tonight's bronze medal playoff at the World Cup, having come out of retirement earlier in the year.

Christie has revealed he had to fill in during training at the tournament and had an unfortunate run in with Woodman-Wickliffe.
