    Good news for people needing medication for the rare Wilson Disease


    From tomorrow, trientine , will be listed on Pharmac's Pharmaceutical Schedule.

    Until now, it's been available through Pharmac's exceptional circumstances pathways.

    Wilson disease is an inherited disorder that causes copper to build up in organs.

    Pharmaceutical Funding manager Adrienne Martin says this shift will give sufferers and prescribers clarity on who is funded - and simplifies access.
