Will Ferrell has turned to Ryan Reynolds for advice after investing in Leeds United

The Hollywood star has become a partial investor in the English soccer team, and Will has been leaning on Ryan and Rob McElhenney - the co-chairman of Wrexham AFC - for some advice

A source told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "Ryan and Rob have been quietly advising Will on the realities of working with a football club and what he can expect.

"They spoke regularly before his investment closed and wanted to know everything about the process.

"Their friendship has been invaluable to Will and he can't wait to see where Leeds go in the future."

Ryan, 47, and Rob, 47, have enjoyed huge success with Wrexham, earning back-to-back promotions with the Welsh soccer team.

And now, Will is hoping to achieve something similar with Leeds.

The insider shared: "Will brings a real sparkle to Leeds.

"He is a global megastar and the club have ambitious targets to try to match clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United in terms of their worldwide brand value.

"Having Will on board should open the door to major new sponsorship deals and endorsements."

Meanwhile, Ryan previously described his ownership of Wrexham as "the greatest experience" of his life.

Speaking to the BBC in 2023, Ryan shared: "This adventure has been unlike anything else.

    "I love it because it's a project that's going to be multi-decades.

"I met a supporter the other day whose grandfather's ashes were scattered across the pitch. I look at this place as like a church."

Ryan also revealed that Wrexham has seen a huge surge of interest in North America.

He said: "In Canada, where I am from, people are obsessed with this club. It's been pretty remarkable.

"We've sold something like 24,000 jerseys and so many of them went to North America. We can't get them anymore - I can't get one.

"The part I find most gratifying is the support from the community outside the club. The fact Wrexham have become a tourist destination for so many folks and they are showing up here - there is something special about this town."
