    The effects of not enough ADHD diagnoses being made, is being felt throughout the health sector


    A new report from the Drug Foundation says people with the disorder are more likely to develop substance abuse, especially with alcohol and nicotine.

    It concludes the condition, when unmanaged, can lead to worse health conditions and even earlier deaths.

    Foundation Executive Director, Sarah Helm says many people who abuse substances have some form of untreated condition.

    She says it leaves room for profound improvements in health outcomes and costs.
