Maia Johnston is still missing in Upper Hutt, despite multiple members of the public calling in tips to police

Maia Johnston is still missing in Upper Hutt, despite multiple members of the public calling in tips to police

The Hamilton woman disappeared in Upper Hutt on Saturday evening sometime between 8pm and 8.30pm, telling loved ones she was going for a walk to get some space.

She left without her phone and wallet and has not been heard from since, something her mother, Amy Walsh, says is out of character.

While she'd been drinking during the day, Walsh did not believe her daughter would have been particularly drunk when she left.
