    A 10-year-deal has been finalised on a second Mount Ruapehu skifield - in the North Island's Volcanic Plateau


    The Department of Conservation's granted Whakapapa Holdings permission to operate the Whakapapa field.

    Pure Turoa signed up for running the Turoa field early last year.

    Talks have taken years - after Ruapehu Alpine Lifts went into receivership in 2022.

    The previous Government apologised to a local iwi representation group, over consultation flaws.
