Madelyn Clyne goes on "sleep strikes" and recently stayed awake for 48 hours

The Outer Banks actress always wants to have time to unwind after a busy day of working, but ultimately finds herself enjoying her time alone so much, she just refuses to go to bed

She told Allure magazine: "I want to be able to stay up and have my alone time, but then I'm enjoying it so much that I don't sleep."

The 27-year-old actress recalled how she stayed up for 48 hours a few weekends ago and then she gave in to sleep and had an afternoon nap, waking up after sunset, only because a friend had come to check on her and found her staring at the wall in her garage like it was a movie screen.

She recalled: "She was like, 'You were staring at the wall, talking about how someone kidnapped Lukas and took him away from you.' "

The incident stepped from a mix-up in arrivals for the Vanity Fair Oscars party for her friend Lukas Gage.

Madelyn said: "I was replaying all these memories of things that had happened in the last couple of weeks. I was clearly dreaming."

The Glass Onion star believes she sleepwalks when she is stressed and tired.

She laughed: "I've woken up in the middle of carrying a tray of food to the couch. Like, what the f*** am I doing? I'm a sleepy girl."

Madelyn - who has spoken in the past about suffering an eating disorder - admitted she has "crazy anxieties" about whether she is talented enough to achieve her ambitions.

She said: "It causes a little Menty B every now and again.

"I can't think too hard about it because then I'll get really existential and treat myself badly.

"I have these crazy anxieties, and I get freaked out, and I have, I do have impostor syndrome. And that's just very human, but also, I can do it. I've gotten this far. What's the alternative? Xanax? Beta blockers?"

The This is the Night actress - who has dated the likes of Chase Stokes, Pete Davidson and Jackson Guthy in the past - is currently single because she wants to focus on her work and find her own path.

She said: "I want to experience this life on my terms first, before I do all the relationship stuff.

"When I go to work, I get pretty locked in, and I get really, really overwhelmed sometimes when the priorities start stacking up and I'm trying to figure out where to put my energy."
