    Another dairy sector shake-up

    Another dairy sector shake-up

Infant formula and dairy company a2 Milk is buying the Yashili plant in Pokeno.

At the same time, it's selling its majority stake in the Mataura Valley plant in Gore, to Open Country Dairy.

Open Country Chief Executive Mark de Lautour says this deal is about securing their position, in Southland and South Otago

He says expanding that little bit further north, to Gore, expands areas where they can secure milk.
