A huge search is still underway for a missing tramper in Tasman's Kahurangi National Park

A huge search is still underway for a missing tramper in Tasman's Kahurangi National Park

66 year old Graham Garnett was expected to return from the Baton area on December 30.

Five helicopters were used in the search today, including an Airforce NH90, while two specialist canyon teams and a field team scoured the area.

Multiple tracks are closed, including the Wilkinson Track, Baton Saddle and Cowin Spur Track - as search teams use radar.

Police say there's no sign of Graham and the search will continue tomorrow.

They're keen to hear from anyone who was in the Baton area from Boxing Day afternoon, particularly anyone who was around Flanagan's Hut.
