Bus services in Auckland will be few and far between this morning

NZ Bus has responded to striking drivers refusing to collect fares by pulling its buses off the roads.

The cancellations are expected to affect up to 70-thousand passenger trips, including some of the city's busiest routes along Dominion, Sandringham, Mt Eden and Manukau Roads.

Link services and other routes across the wider Auckland region will also be disrupted.

Auckland Transport has sourced alternative buses for the 321 hospital service, and some Route 25 and Route 27 services.
