Chad Michael Murray does not wish to address his past after Erin Foster accused him of cheating on her with Sophia Bush

The 42-year-old former 'One Tree Hill' star dated former 'The O.C.' star Erin, 41, from 2001 to 2002, and married his co-star Sophia, also 41, in 2005, before their divorce a year later

Erin recently claimed the alleged affair took place "while we were living together" on an episode of 'The World's First Podcast'.

However, she insists she is "over it now".

Responding to the accusation, Chad told E! News: "It's not one of those things that I want to go down the road of because there's just never a winner.

"I feel blessed to be where I am right now."

Chad continued: "I live in the now, I live in the present, I live in the future.

"Things have changed so dramatically for me since I was a young man that I just try to live in this space-always. So, I don't think you'll ever find me saying anything negative or hurtful about anybody. I never will. That's just not me. I'm not going to do it."

The 'A Cinderella Story' star admits he has many "regrets" but he doesn't waste any energy on them.

He explained: "I have more regrets in my life than I care to think about, but I don't live in the past.

"I try to move forward every single day and just go, 'I got air in my lung, life in my step, the will to move forward and the sun's gonna rise on a beautiful tomorrow.'"

Chad's 'One Tree Hill' co-star Hilarie Burton, 41, insists the pair weren't together.

Wading in, she reacted on her Instagram Story: "As a person who had a front row seat then? This wasn't it.

"We were all told you'd been broken up which is why our guy was perusing her. (sic)"

Chad is focused on his family after welcoming his third child, a girl, with his wife Sarah Roemer, 39, into the world in August.

The 'Freaky Friday' star - who has two other children with his other half, but has never publicly revealed their names - said: "Most people who know me know kids are my heart."
