A study's found consuming marijuana - whether smoking, vaping or eating - is linked to higher risk of heart attack and stroke

A study's found consuming marijuana - whether smoking, vaping or eating - is linked to higher risk of heart attack and stroke

The Journal of the American Heart Association analysed data from 430 thousand adults across four years.

The study found a person's stroke risk rose 42 percent and heart attack risk rose 25 percent, if cannabis was used daily.

Lead study author Abra Jeffers told CNN smoking cannabis has significant cardiovascular risks - just like smoking tobacco.

He says this is important because cannabis use is increasing, while tobacco use is decreasing.
