Toni Braxton is "trying to live with a broken heart" following the death of her sister Traci

The 56-year-old singer lost Traci when she died at the age of 50 in 2022 following a battle with oesophageal cancer and explained that she and her other sisters will be seen "dealing with grief and loss" on the upcoming season of their reality show 'Braxton Family Values'

She told People: "She's always with me. I miss her every day. I can't even explain to you how I miss her. [You see us] dealing with grief and loss - and how I like to say, it's difficult trying to live with a broken heart."

But the 'Un-Break My Heart' songstress - who appears on the WE tv series alongside Trin, Tamar, Towanda, and Evelyn - is sure that her late sibling is still by her side and can feel her "giving her courage" to continue doing what she loves.

She said: "I miss her, but I know she's with me. I know she's holding my hand and talking to me and giving me the courage to get up here and have a good time and entertain you guys, 'cause this is what I love doing as a performer."

Just months after the loss, Tamar revealed that all four sisters had put her ashes into hummingbird-shaped lockets in memory of their sister.

She told 'Dish Nation': "We, all the sisters, have a hummingbird locket, and it's a locket because her ashes are actually in i. We all have one and the reason being is because she wanted to go everywhere we went.

"If I don't have it on, it's in my purse, it's in my bag. It's close to me. She wanted to be a hummingbird and she looked at us as hummingbirds. So, here's to my forever angel hummingbird."
