Calls for more political transparency

A report from the Helen Clark foundation suggests New Zealand needs stronger regulations to improve trust in politicians - which could include regulating lobbying and limiting political donations.

Political commentator Dr Bryce Edwards says this should be mandatory reading for Parliamentarians.

He says the idea of lobbyists having swipe card access to Parliament has been 'murky'.
