Auckland's Flat Bush will see an increased police presence to combat rising crime

Auckland's Flat Bush will see an increased police presence to combat rising crime

Police say Operation Flat Bush will crack down on a spate of burglaries and vehicle crime by upping their presence in crime hotspots and checking commonly stolen vehicles.

In July, two armed men violently smashed into an address on Chianti Close and seriously injured someone living there.

This month, a member of the public believed an offender was armed when they interrupted a pair stealing a vehicle.

Residents are urged to report suspicious activity and secure their vehicles properly.
