Three people are due in court today, charged with the kidnapping and manslaughter of a woman whose body was found in a bag at Auckland's Gulf Harbour

The body of 70-year-old Chinese national Shulai Wang's was recovered in March.

A 37-year-old man, 36-year-old woman and 61-year-old woman were arrested in Orewa yesterday and are due in the North Shore District Court today.

The man and the younger woman are also facing further charges.

Police say while they appreciate there are a lot of questions about what happened, they're limited in what they can say while the matter is before the court.
