The Government's intending a change that'll prevent people earning more than 180-thousand-dollars a year, from raising an unjustified dismissal claim

The Government's intending a change that'll prevent people earning more than 180-thousand-dollars a year, from raising an unjustified dismissal claim

It will be progressed through the Employment Relations Amendment Bill, intended to be introduced next year.

Workplace Relations and Safety Minister Brooke van Velden says it allows businesses to take a chance on people in a management role -- but move them on, if they aren't the right fit.

She says many people have worked with a manager whose performance has led to poor productivity and low morale, and the boss and workers have to wait for them to want to move on.
