The prospect of making history is motivating the Wellington Phoenix women at the business end of the season

The prospect of making history is motivating the Wellington Phoenix women at the business end of the season

They square off against struggling Sydney FC across the Tasman tonight, knowing a win could propel them as high as fourth on the ladder.

The Phoenix missed the finals in their first three seasons in the league and midfielder Daisy Brazendale says they're determined to taste playoffs football this year.

    Kickoff is at seven o'clock.
