Police are looking into a potentially gang related shooting at a busy Wairoa tavern

Police are looking into a potentially gang related shooting at a busy Wairoa tavern

Multiple shots were fired, hitting the Frasertown Tavern and a vehicle in the carpark on Saturday night just past 11pm.

Police say it's lucky no one was injured, given several patrons were inside.

It's dubbed enquiries Operation Everest and want to speak with anyone who was in the area, or may've seen a white hatchback in Frasertown at the time.
