    One man has been arrested after an altercation in Alma, near Oamaru - that left another seriously injured


    Police were called to Fortification and Oamaru-Alma Roads just after 1pm, and a man's been taken to hospital.

    Officers quickly arrested a person thought responsible -- and are considering charges.

    It's believed the pair knew each other.
