Hilaria Baldwin felt as if her body wasn't her own anymore after having seven children

The 41-year-old entrepreneur is mother to Carmen, 11, Rafael, nine, Leonardo, eight, Romeo, six, Eduardo and María four, was well as two-year-old Ilaria with her husband Alec Baldwin and decided to go under the knife for a breast lift because she wanted to make herself "feel okay" again

Speaking on the latest episode of their TLC reality show 'The Baldwins', she explained: "Since I was breastfeeding for so long, it was one of these things I decided to do, like, a little up.

"I've been pregnant and/or breastfeeding for over a decade. I think this is the first time that I've not been pregnant and/or breastfeeding since I've started having kids.

"I got used to my body more or less a certain way than as most women know who breastfeed and the milk goes out, it's a different, much lower reality. It almost felt like my body wasn't my body anymore, because I was so used to my body being a certain way.

It was just to make myself feel okay, and that's okay."

The yoga instructor then explained that when it comes to "vanity", she is mindful of her eldest daughter because she doesn't want her or her other children to feel as if they have to conform to being a "certain way" and she has ha to put up with a lot of "self-doubt and criticism" in her life.

She said: "Anytime I do something in the realm of vanity, I don't want them to feel that they have to be a certain way. And I want to try to protect Carmen because I've experienced a lot of self-doubt and listened to the criticism more than I should have."

In 2018, Hilaria opened up about how an eating disorder she had suffered from in her youth ultimately led her to using yoga to "heal" herself.

At the time, she wrote on Instagram: "I opened up about growing up with an eating disorder [in the book 'The Living Clearly Method']. I turned to yoga, health and wellness to heal my body and my mind.

"I think back to my old self and how much I would have struggled with gaining weight during pregnancy and being patient with healthfully losing it. I'm so happy I can be a strong and happy mommy now, completely accepting of my body."
