Interpol's now involved in a global search to identity the man whose body was found in Chirstchurch's Heathcote Valley last Friday

Interpol's now involved in a global search to identity the man whose body was found in Chirstchurch's Heathcote Valley last Friday

Police released photos of belongings found with him on Horotane Valley Road, but say there's been no positive identification.

Detective Senior Sergeant Karen Simmons says they've supplied biometric data to Interpol to be checked against records in other countries.

The man's thought to be in his 30s or 40s, with a distinctive birthmark on his left forearm and was wearing a black long-sleeve woollen jersey, black trousers and grey tramping boots.
