Andy Cohen is experiencing "payback" for his mischievous childhood with his own kids

The Watch What Happens Live host - whose kids Ben, six, and three-year-old Lucy were born to a surrogate - was always a prankster when he was growing up and his own offspring are already showing signs of following in his footsteps.

Speaking to his ex ecutive assistant, Daryn Carp, for Extra, he said: "The other day I was at an airport and I facetime the kids and Ben keeps saying, 'You're frozen daddy, you're frozen' . For about 10 minutes, I'm walking around, 'Now can you see me', going crazy.

" At the end, the nanny came in and goes, 'Oh just so you know Mr C, you weren't frozen once.'

"I said, 'Ben'. He gets this big grin on his face and he goes, 'Sorry'.

"I texted my mom and I go, 'The payback has begun.' "

The 57-year-old star is pleased he became a father later in life because he has had so many fun experiences in the past, he doesn't feel he is missing out on as much when he has to miss events to be at home with his children.

He said: "I think having kids later in life is really great and I've gotten to do so much so that now when I have to stay home and it's the Met Gala, now my level of FOMO is pretty slim."

Andy is looking for love and is keen to get married one day.

He said: "Yeah, I would love to get married

"I think that a few things need to happen before I get married. I think that I need to be in love first and would I like to be in love? I mean, if I could find the gay version of John Mayer. I think that would probably be great because he and I are incredibly connected."

But the Real Housewives producer admitted he wouldn't be keen on someone if he felt they were using his connections.

He said: "I think if the first date was like, 'When can I meet Countless Luann?' I might be like, 'You know what? Slow your roll, dude.'"
