    Wash your hands and get your flu jab


    That's the advice from a top doctor - to protect yourself from the influenza virus.

    The virus often lands in New Zealand this month, as people travel from the Northern Hemisphere.

    Dr Bryan Betty says too many people think the flu and a common cold, are the same.

    He says it's much more severe and can make you really unwell and miserable.
