Health New Zealand's urging people to check for measles symptoms, and immunise

Health New Zealand's urging people to check for measles symptoms, and immunise

They say a fever, cough, runny nose, sore eyes, and rash should be monitored after a confirmed measles case in Queenstown last week.

Seven locations of interest have been identified, and a pop-up clinic in Frankton is offering vaccinations from tomorrow and Tuesday.

Medical Officer of Health Dr Michael Butchard, says now's the time to check if you're protected against measles, or need to be immunised.

He says many pharmacies also offer immunisation services, seven days a week.
