Michael Cheika has resigned as coach of the Wallabies

Michael Cheika has resigned as coach of the Wallabies

The 52-year-old confirmed his departure less than 24 hours after his side was dumped out of the Rugby World Cup by England in the quarter-finals.

Cheika was asked about his future in the post match press conference.

He says he didn't answer at the time, but he always knew the answer in his head, having put his chips in earlier in the year.
