The Director-General of Health says we might go up and down alert levels - before fully stamping out COVID-19 in New Zealand

The Director-General of Health says we might go up and down alert levels - before fully stamping out COVID-19 in New Zealand

Ashley Bloomfield says the current measures look to eliminate the virus - with strict isolation and border controls.

But once that's been achieved, and the alert level lowered, he isn't ruling anything out.

He says cases will still pop up - and we want them to be at a low number so they can be quickly managed.
