    Police are appealing for information after a serious assault in Wellington last night


    Two people are in hospital, one in serious condition, after reportedly being assaulted by two men who then fled in a vehicle.

    Police were called to Evans Bay Parade in Kilbirnie about 6pm to reports of injuries from an assault.

    Enquiries are ongoing.
