    A liquid gas cylinder has exploded at a scrap metal yard startling residents in the Christchurch suburb of Woolston


    A fire team says no one was injured and the explosion was contained to the cylinder.

    Hairdresser Deborah Radonavich says the large explosion was just to the rear of her shop and gave her a fright.

    A fire spokesman say there was no further damage to the scrap yard.
