    A man charged after the sudden death of a US polo star in Christchurch will stand trial later this year


    Lauren Mikaila Biddle was found dead in a spa in Sumner, Christchurch, with no external injuries on October 22, 2018.

    Joseph McGirr was arrested after Lauren Biddle was found unresponsive at his property.

    He has pleaded not guilty to two charges of supplying the Class-B controlled drug MDMA, cultivating cannabis, and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

    The five-day trial is scheduled to start in November.
