Ozzy Osbourne believes ancient Egyptians built the pyramids after seeing UFOs

The 71-year-old rocker thinks the impressive structures, which were erected between 2700BC and 1700BC and housed the bodies of pharaohs, were created as "replicas" of triangular alien aircraft as a way to "train" people

Watching a YouTube video with son Jack Osbourne on their new TV show, 'The Osbournes Want to Believe', he said: "The interesting theory behind this is it’s pyramid-shaped. What if they built a replica of what the ship looked like out of stone? So they wanted to train everybody about the f****** pyramids. It could be.

“The reason why they did it was to say to us, ‘This is what we saw, when this comes back, this is what it looks like’.

“If you land one of those things, maybe it might be an angle to point for it to come in.”

The 'Paranoid' rocker's wife Sharon insisted she doesn't believe in either UFOs or ghosts and thinks it is "odd" that her son has such a strong conviction that life on other planets exists.

She said: "I always say the same thing with UFOs and ghosts. I don’t not believe. But I need to see them myself.

“Jack has been a believer in UFOs. It’s very odd."

But the 68-year-old star admitted she and Ozzy encouraged their children to go hunting for the Loch Ness monster, a sinister creature believed to dwell in Scotland, despite there being no confirmed sightings.

She added: “We used to take the kids to Scotland to try to find the Loch Ness monster when they were little as they were really into the whole thing.

“Jack and Ozzy would go out to the loch at night and they had their torches, looking for the monster.”

Jack added: “No luck. We never found Nessie.”
