    Five people have been taken to Whangarei Hospital after a two-car crash near the Wheki Valley


    It happened on State Highway 14 between Whangarei and Dargaville just after 9:30 this morning.

    A St John Ambulance spokeswoman says four people were taken to hospital by road and one was flown in a helicopter.

    She says they all are in serious conditions.
