    35 year old man arrested after fleeing Police, hitting vehicle - then crashing off Kapiti motorway this morning

    A 35 year old man's been arrested after fleeing Police, hitting another vehicle - then driving into the bank of a Kapiti motorway this morning


    Police followed the vehicle from Waikanae to Te Horo, where the Armed Offenders Squad had set up cordons.

    The driver fled, reversing into another vehicle before crashing on Old State Highway One.

    The man's being treated for injuries, in custody.

    The vehicle is yet to be recovered.
